Reverend Eladio R. Villanueva, Jr., became an ordained minister on January 28,
2007 and served as the Administrative Pastor at East Side Tabernacle in NYC from
2007 to 2013. Pastor V. as he is commonly called is currently the full time overseer
of SonSet Ministries and is also a member of Liquid Church in Wayne, NJ.
Reverend Villanueva has been married for over 29 years to his beautiful wife Yvette
and they have been blessed with two beautiful children, Candice & Rebekah.
SonSet Ministries
In 2009, Reverend Villanueva realized that a majority of the leaders in the church were becoming overwhelmed with the many responsibilities and work load that come with the positions of leadership. One of the downsides to all of this was that while many of these leaders were constantly pouring out into the lives of others, they themselves were often self-neglected. In an attempt to ensure that these men and women received their share of spiritual nourishment, Reverend Villanueva began daily morning devotional conference calls. The daily morning devotions were a time of prayer and uplifting messages geared towards refreshing the leaders of the church. Prayer and devotions that could be heard from the comfort of their homes. This ministry was initially called "SonRise Ministry."
As time went on, word of the daily devotions spread and began attracting other participants from different parts of the United States. As the numbers grew, the majority consensus of the group was to switch the daily devotions to the evening and with the change of time came the new name, SonSet Ministries. SonSet ministries is now an internet based ministry that is open to ALL.
The Mission of SonSet Ministries
1. Through the use of the internet, introduce the living Word, Jesus Christ to men and women who for various reasons have never or will never walk into a standard brick and mortar church. After these men and women have been introduced to Christ, SonSet Ministries will encourage these new followers of Christ to join a local church in their community.
2. To provide refreshing living waters and renewed strength to Christians in the harvest field who find themselves overworked and spiritually undernourished. A field where the harvest is always ripe and plentiful, but the workers are far too often few.
3. To provide a place of convenience for Christians who simply want to supplement their spiritual foundation with biblical based teachings and powerful prayer.
